Well it automatically chooses a certain frame within the video, I'm guessing the first non-black keyframe, I might be wrong though. At least it's better than XP which chooses the first frame period so I get nothing but a black thumbnail 80% of the time. Well there is a way to change it, but it wouldn't be for just the ones you want, it would be configuring it for all thumbnails. It would take knowledge of how to recode a particular Windows file, and honestly it's not worth the trouble/hassle it'd take to do so, and considering you are asking for help on it, you wouldn't know what you were doing so I'd advice against it because you could really mess up the OS.
