Comparison Screenshots without 1080p TV?

I'd like to be able to do comparison screenshots for 1080p videos without having to connect to a 1080p TV every time because if I play the videos on a computer screen that does not have resolution 1920x1080, they get downscaled. Is there a way to play the 1080p videos and let them expand beyond screen's size to maintain pixel per pixel mapping?

Thank you and cheers!

If you play a video in Windows Media Player Classic Home Cinema thats originally 1080p, even if the monitor cant go to 1080p and it gets downscaled during playback, clicking File at the top then choosing save image, should save a screenshot of the video at its original resolution, regardless of what the current playback size is.
