In the second one, the text seems jagged, and everything seems blurry and although it has some blending, everything just clashes with everything. The first one just looks like text on an image. Also, they are way too large, they're pretty much banner sized. I would never allow people to be tagging around a signature like that on a forum, try to keep things at a less than 450x150 size, but it depends on the signature. Keep practicing.
