Would love to see your MyAnimeList Emrys EDIT: Noticed you had it linked in your sig so I've checked it out  :) Got lots more anime to download now!!! Hate reading subtitles so I stick to english dub. One day I'll try and learn Japanese. I've been saying that for a few years now though LOL

So far I'm loving the forum and IRC. Off to donate now ;) EDIT: Well I was but Skrill won't let me log in o.O Hopefully they fix it soon.

I feel having to read subs distracts from viewing the animation. So easy to miss all those subtle nuances the animators go to all the trouble of putting in for us. Of course if a dub is done badly it can destroy a great show. A good dub lets you enjoy the show in its full glory though. So until I learn Japanese then English subs are for me :)

I wonder why it won't let you login hmm. Well there is always Flattr and Gittip. The latter seeming to be the preferred method between the two.

Welcome to Kametsu runey71. Personally I watch the dub if it's out when I go to watch a show. If it's not, then I watch sub. I have no issue one way or the other really, but there are instances where the English dub or Japanese dub just outright sucks balls. Dragon Ball Z in Japanese for instance is a no go for me... I can't have Goku, who is the toughest character ever, sounding like a woman. While D.Gray-man's English dub for an example has characters who are suppose to be teenagers sounding like they're 90 year-old men. If the voice doesn't fit the age/gender of a character... it's simply irritating to bother with.

Haven't used Skrill for a while and they requested my birth date as verification. It seems they have my birth date wrong (or I've gotten old and senile and forgotten my birthday LOL) as it keeps kicking me out. I've contacted support. If they don't fix it in a few days I'll donate via one of the other means :)

I struggle with voices not matching the visual of a character as well. Really puts me off a show and I struggle to get through them. Still I'll watch subbed if I have no other choice. I'm a bit OCD about making sure I have every OVA that goes along with a show I've watched. Often the OVAs haven't been dubbed so I have to live with subbed.
