Tsukumo Yuma
There is this game I have been trying to check out called Osu!, I downloaded the Mac version, and installed the game, but when I start the game up something pops up saying something like this... ErrorPipi, Get that cookie out of your mouth - System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '_update' is denied.at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)at System.IO.Directory.InternalCreateDirectory(String fullPath, String path, DirectorySecurity dirSecurity)at System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory(String path, DirectorySecurity directorySecurity)at #dg.#cg.#7G()at #dg.#cg.#cH()at System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart_Context(Object state)at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state)at System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart() Restart or Exit Then I click restart, but it doesn't restart, then I open it again and it does the same thing, then I click exit and open it again, still the same thing. So I uninstall it, then reinstall it, still the same thing. Then I download Osu again, and still the same thing. I can't post on the game sites Suport forum unless I have started the Osu! game at least once, which it won't let me do. Could someone please help me with this? lemmingllama
I didn't find anything with a quick look, so I'd say your best bet is to post on their bug report forums, or ask in their IRC channel. Of course, I looked in the forums and I found the same problem, but no fixes for it.

Tsukumo Yuma
And if I do that, can I remove it from the root afterwards if I don't want the game anymore, if I can, how do I do so? Edited May 6, 2014 by Tsukumo Yuma
JohnFlower
Sudo will 'remove it from the root' as soon you close the program.

lemmingllama
And if I do that, can I remove it from the root afterwards if I don't want the game anymore, if I can, how do I do so? Just to clarify since JohnFlower didn't, root is a user with all privileges. Basically this was just to see if Linux was blocking something, so you are using the admin account to override anything that it is doing. Doesn't move the files, just changes how they are used. Also a new download is likely just what you need, I assumed you had the official version but if it was a previous version then it may not work. Also I don't think that Osu! is compatible with all versions of Linux, so if you are running a distro other than Ubuntu or Mint then it might not like that. JohnFlower
OS X is unix based. It's basically a fancy form of Linux.
lemmingllama
I am not using Linux, I am using OSX Remind me not to post when I am sleepy and rushed. Anyways, OSX should be fully compatible, although it has a lot more bugs than the Windows release. Anyways, did the Google play version work for you? Sort of, it froze every few seconds, but it did not have multi player mode or global ranking.
