professa X
I have a ID49o7u laptop. It a good labtop that does what i need it to do. The only problem is when i watch certain 1080p video @10bit it burns my processor and and trys to lag. I've used MPC-HC and VLC but both have processor spikes. I have MPC-HC to use my intel GMA HD card. I know its pretty crap but it works for all videos except certain 1080p videos. I was watching one video and it spikes. these are the videos specs (using media info):GeneralUnique ID : 220690762842860407891821470535868857786 (0xA6077EAF33C03B41B0D410889155BDBA)Complete name : C:\Users\Owner\Videos\Jormungand\S01E05 - Vein.mkvFormat : MatroskaFormat version : Version 4 / Version 2File size : 954 MiBDuration : 23mn 42sOverall bit rate : 5 628 KbpsMovie name : Jormungand_S1_D1Encoded date : UTC 2014-03-02 03:42:51Writing application : mkvmerge v6.7.0 ('Back to the Ground') 64bit built on Jan 8 2014 15:10:52Writing library : libebml v1.3.0 + libmatroska v1.4.1 VideoID : 1Format : AVCFormat/Info : Advanced Video CodecFormat profile : High [email protected]Format settings, CABAC : YesFormat settings, ReFrames : 6 framesCodec ID : V_MPEG4/ISO/AVCDuration : 23mn 42sWidth : 1 920 pixelsHeight : 1 080 pixelsDisplay aspect ratio : 16:9Frame rate mode : ConstantFrame rate : 23.976 fpsColor space : YUVChroma subsampling : 4:2:0Bit depth : 10 bitsScan type : ProgressiveWriting library : x264 core 140 r2377kMod 1ca7bb9Encoding settings : cabac=1 / ref=7 / deblock=1:-2:-2 / analyse=0x3:0x133 / me=umh / subme=10 / psy=1 / fade_compensate=0.00 / psy_rd=1.00:0.00 / mixed_ref=1 / me_range=24 / chroma_me=1 / trellis=2 / 8x8dct=1 / cqm=0 / deadzone=6,6 / fast_pskip=1 / chroma_qp_offset=-2 / threads=11 / lookahead_threads=2 / sliced_threads=0 / nr=0 / decimate=0 / interlaced=0 / bluray_compat=0 / constrained_intra=0 / fgo=0 / bframes=16 / b_pyramid=1 / b_adapt=2 / b_bias=0 / direct=3 / weightb=1 / open_gop=0 / weightp=2 / keyint=250 / keyint_min=25 / scenecut=40 / intra_refresh=0 / rc_lookahead=60 / rc=crf / mbtree=1 / crf=23.0000 / qcomp=0.80 / qpmin=0 / qpmax=81 / qpstep=4 / ip_ratio=1.10 / aq=1:0.50Default : YesForced : No Audio #1ID : 2Format : AACFormat/Info : Advanced Audio CodecFormat profile : LCCodec ID : A_AACDuration : 23mn 42sChannel(s) : 2 channelsChannel positions : Front: L RSampling rate : 48.0 KHzCompression mode : LossyDelay relative to video : 9msTitle : English StereoLanguage : EnglishDefault : YesForced : No Audio #2ID : 3Format : AACFormat/Info : Advanced Audio CodecFormat profile : LCCodec ID : A_AACDuration : 23mn 42sChannel(s) : 2 channelsChannel positions : Front: L RSampling rate : 48.0 KHzCompression mode : LossyDelay relative to video : 9msTitle : Japanese StereoLanguage : JapaneseDefault : NoForced : No Text #1ID : 4Format : PGSMuxing mode : zlibCodec ID : S_HDMV/PGSCodec ID/Info : The same subtitle format used on BDs/HD-DVDsTitle : Sign / TitleLanguage : EnglishDefault : YesForced : No Text #2ID : 5Format : PGSMuxing mode : zlibCodec ID : S_HDMV/PGSCodec ID/Info : The same subtitle format used on BDs/HD-DVDsTitle : English SubtitlesLanguage : EnglishDefault : NoForced : No Menu00:00:00.000 : en:Chapter 0100:00:34.034 : en:Chapter 0200:02:03.832 : en:Chapter 0300:09:48.796 : en:Chapter 0400:22:01.028 : en:Chapter 0500:23:31.034 : en:Chapter 06 So my question is what are the highest video setting my computer can handle so in the future i'll convert the videos to those settings. Hark0n
First, a CPU model would be nice info to start with (Google search for "ID49o7u laptop" got me nowhere). You could also try to update codecs to newer versions (if You have not updated them already) as they will be more optimized.As far as I can tell from video, it is probably because of heavy noise. Noise (and grain) not only compresses poorly, but also requires more CPU power to decode. Jormungand is a noisy anime and You should probably look for 720p alternative (like recent releases from Shirσ S1&S2). There is also possibility of heavy HDD usage. As You are using "C" drive, both system and player is trying to access the same device with could cause it to be unable to read fast enough.I have had this situation when downloading large files with µTorrent or FreeDownloadManager.
