Tsukumo Yuma
I am trying to figure out how to do this for my mom, but come up empty.she wants to put manga on her MP4/MP3 player, but the reader it has only suports Ebook and .txt format, and no other reader app can be added, the player doesn't allow adding apps. So how do I turn a manga that is in .PDF or .JPG, into Ebook format so she can read on her MP4 player? Ecio
Ebook format - do you mean as an .epub? There are many tutorials on YouTube: search: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=pdf%20to%20epub&search_type=&aq=f&oq= Many of the tutorials seems to fall towards Calibre: http://calibre-ebook.com/download A lot of the tutorials are for mac, it seems, but Calibre works on Windows as well. Tsukumo Yuma
I don't use windows, also it just said ebook format, it was not specific.
dcv1979
im guessing the ebook format would either be .epub or .mobi
† L4ugh
I don't use windows, also it just said ebook format, it was not specific. What OS do you run, and what brand/model is the music player? Calibre supports more than Windows, so it could still be of help.
Tsukumo Yuma
I have the first version of OS, I think. The music player brand is Eclipse
† L4ugh
What OS do you run on your computer: Linux, OSX? You said you don't use windows.Have you checked to see if it supports the pdf files? The documentation for these players seems to rather crap, so you'll probably have to experiment with it. I'd try uploading a few different formats to it and see which it recognizes. According to it's site Calibre has support for both Linux and OSX so you should still be able to use it for the conversion process.
Tsukumo Yuma
Just found out, it is a very old version of OS X from the very beginning of the centry. Edited March 22, 2014 by Tsukumo Yuma
† L4ugh
Your rocking some pretty old hardware there. You're most likely on a PowerPC based system, so you may want to check the PowerPC version linked to here. If that doesn't work then we can try to find you a bootable linux distro to try instead. Most linux distros still support the PowerPC hardware. Edit: You'll have to scroll down on the link above to find where it mentions the PowerPC version. Nintendon't
So...I mean no offense by this and I apologize for going off topic...but you got me curious now...how old are you? I mean first you got a topic where you're looking for anime for your um...grandma who apparently is hardcore into Naruto/Pokemon and whatnot...now you're looking for manga for your mom. You sure you're not just pushing this stuff on them and they're just yessing you to death to keep you happy? I used to do that with my parents too when I was younger. "Mom, Dad, checkout this awesome game, after I have sex with the hooker I can kill her and get my money back!" "Uh huh that sounds great Nintendon't". I can't help but imagine your next thread is going to be about how you need help buying Yu-Gi-Oh cards for your dad.
Tsukumo Yuma
I am 17 almost 18, and they have been into anime since before I was born, they are the reason I got into it, my grandma is the one who taught me about computers, my mom is trying to get into computers, though she should ask grandma for help with that stuff.Mom introduced me into some of the weirdest but awesome games, like the Capcom VS, Street Fighters, and one of her favorites, Mortal Kombat series, she has been playing them since the series started, she is into boy love manga too.She introduced me to pokemon and sailor moon, there friend introduced me to yugioh and kamen rider when I was 2, there friend even taught me some japanese.Grandma, doesn't like Naruto. As for cards for my dad, no posible future for that thread. My parents play yugioh, they both suck, they are both admit in surpassing me, they get there own cards. They have been into that stuff before I even knew of them, and still are, they are bigger otaku than me.One thing I refuse to watch, that my mom was and is still into, is Voltron and Bleach, those shows is so borring.Sorry, thought it would auto merge. Also your parents let you play those kinds of games?Back on topic, I will try epub, if that doesn't work, pdf is next.
