Are we ever getting Katekyo Hitman Reborn with consistent quality?

I there are downloads on BakaBT and other torrent sites for this anime, but they are done by 8 different sub groups, some with different resolutions, video, and audio quality, which bothers me. Any chance of we could eventually get a download done by a single group/person? (Was annoyed when I read Rave Master, done by different translators, because Ruby's "poyo" turned into "puru" at some point. It was still a good read, but the change in quality of the scans and different translations just bothered me).

It wont happen unless some really dedicated people start it up. Its an old series and its long, so no sub group will pick it up now unless they get together solely for Hitman Reborn like the group that redid Simoun. I would say that your best bet is the DVDs if you want quality all the way through

Well that's a shame. Guess I'd have to go with the torrent and suck it up.

Main reason for so many groups was FUNimation.

All sub groups kept getting DMCA'ed while releasing.

 

SHS dropped it after 89, where Rumbel picked it up and got DMCA'ed shortly after.

Rumbel continued subbing it however under the name Mashumaru, until they too were stopped.

Kami/Kyuubi did a few episodes but they were crap.

SG picked it up at like 131 and managed to finish it.

 

Technically the only episodes that I'd like to see redone were those by Kami/Kyuubi. The rest were great for their time of release.

Anyhow I have the best set of releases on my XDCC Bot "Yuniko".
