Printer Troubles

What printer doesn't have troubles?

anyway, i got a second hand printer (i don't expect it to be fantastic, but i was told it worked, therefore i would expect it would at least be recognized by my computer.) the problem i am having is installing a driver to get the damn to to be recognized AS a printer on my PC instead of just some "unknown" device.

okay, i have myself a canon lasershot lbp-1120 printer, a PC on windows 7 and some drivers that windows doesn't seem to want to install, so any help/guide for how to get this thing to work would be much appreciated. let me know if you need some more info, i will happily answer any questions you need to know as to how i can get this stupid thing to work.

those were the exact results of my googling and none of them seem to work, the error I am getting when i try to use those drivers (i got a little further) is that none of them work in a 64 bit system. I'm considering trying to install it on dart's PC because i think he might have 32 bit windows 7.

SOLVED (sort of)

It would seem that 64 bit drivers for said printer don't exist, time to off this one and get myself a better printer!

'Upon carefully researching your request, we regret to inform you that dedicated drivers for your Laser Shot LBP-1120 are not available and will not be developed by Canon due to the age/compatibility of your device hardware and the Windows 7 ( 64-bit) operating system.'

Was an actual reply from Canon about the driver support for windows 7 x64 via an individual on Microsoft Troubleshoot site. Sadly I have to agree in just getting a new printer.
