Koby
Sounds like the keyboard is malfunctioning. I had that happen once to a desktop. The button wasn't pressed down, but still acted like it. Switching out the keyboard I used fixed the problem, so yeah.. might want to have the laptop's keyboard checked out. Jªvª
Could be a few things, but what Koby said is def an option. As well try cleaning the keyboard as much as possible; might be surprised that something as simple as a finger nail is stuck between the keys and causing it to be pressed. DrumRoll
I think its more of a software fault:(
Jªvª
Yeah I had that issue with my old Acer Aspire back in the day (RIP poor laptop). But I came to the conclusion that the firmware/software interpreter wasn't the best on it. Found this out while playing FPS and trying to nail three-four keys at once, which = death alot due to it only allowed certain amount of keystrokes to go through at once.I will see if I can find a solution, won't make any promises due to the fact it might be a retarded hardware restriction. † Mute point
Sometimes this happens with alt or shift... I find that double tapping the button generally clears it.
Strick9
You may have held your shift key too long or pressed it 5 times in a row and run into a Windows' keyboard accessibility feature called "StickyKeys". To disable it, go to the Control Panel and double-click Accessibility Options (it's probably the first icon you see). Then, under the keyboard tab, untick "Use StickyKeys".
