DrumRoll

Recommended Posts

not physically, but the system behaves as though I am holding the CTRL button down. I have to log off and then on again to return it to normal.

is this a glitch? someone on the internet mentioned 'safe mode'

does anyone have any insight as to what may be causing this?

I have a pavilion g6 laptop

thanks:)

Sounds like the keyboard is malfunctioning. I had that happen once to a desktop. The button wasn't pressed down, but still acted like it. Switching out the keyboard I used fixed the problem, so yeah.. might want to have the laptop's keyboard checked out.

Yeah I had that issue with my old Acer Aspire back in the day (RIP poor laptop). But I came to the conclusion that the firmware/software interpreter wasn't the best on it. Found this out while playing FPS and trying to nail three-four keys at once, which = death alot due to it only allowed certain amount of keystrokes to go through at once.

I will see if I can find a solution, won't make any promises due to the fact it might be a retarded hardware restriction.

You may have held your shift key too long or pressed it 5 times in a row and run into a Windows' keyboard accessibility feature called "StickyKeys". To disable it, go to the Control Panel and double-click Accessibility Options (it's probably the first icon you see). Then, under the keyboard tab, untick "Use StickyKeys".
