A lot of the manga which came after DBZ and followed in its footsteps have done a poor job of making their characters unique and memorable (even ones that I really like, such as Naruto). Dragon Ball just has this way of sticking in the mind. Each character is distinct and easily identifiable, regardless of the changes they go through as they age. That said, my absolute top picks are Piccolo and Krillin. Piccolo has that whole mysterious anti-hero thing going for him, and that almost always makes for a potent character who gets the blood flowing when they show up. Krillin fits well as a sidekick character without getting annoying, and despite all the jokes he's actually incredibly powerful. I mean, you can drop Krillin in just about any other fictional universe and he'll have it conquered in a heartbeat. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
