Dan Den Posted July 11, 2012 Report Share Posted July 11, 2012 Okay then as the topic says I would like some help in getting rid of this "Security Software."It started a few days ago whilst I was busy with some work then when I clicked a link and it got copied into JDownloader (not sure if that was the cause) that is when said software came up, at first I thought it was real but then it showed a shit load of viruses that made me scepticle and I figured it was a malicious software. Anyways I was able to uninstall it the first time, fast forward to today just after I finish hours of work boom this crap comes out of no where and closes all programs I was running. I had run my anti-virus before and thought that was the end of it until early this morning. I searched my whole Pc and still can not find it, it just pops up at any moment.So if anyone has faced said software before could you tell me how you were able to get rid of it for good. † Shazi Posted July 11, 2012 Report Share Posted July 11, 2012 if you can start your computer in safe mode do so! then uninstall it and run a scan to find any leftover files (if uninstaller in windows doesn't work download a third party uninstaller and force remove it) then you should use system restore to a point before the program came into your computer. Koby Posted July 11, 2012 Report Share Posted July 11, 2012 Try to open taskmanager. If it doesn't allow you, then reboot PC, and try and open taskmanager asap when it gets back to desktop. Repeat until successful.. Find whatever process looks strange, run a search for that process name. It probably won't let you delete it as it'll say it's in use, but you should be able to simply rename it and then delete it (you might have to reboot your PC after renaming before you can delete). Then run MalwareBytes and HitmanPRO (both can be obtained for free, and believe me HitmanPRO is pro at finding the shit no other program will because it's set to pick up the extremes which most aren't). Dan Den Posted July 11, 2012 Author Report Share Posted July 11, 2012 system restore only changes you programs and windows not you personal documents....Yeah I am well aware of that but the last time I did it well lets just say my PC felt brand new, basically it wipped out all my data and made it look like the first day I bought it and one of the parts that I did not want to return was the whole part of needing a password to use the computer as the administrator as to before I did not require a password.Anyways I just backed up my data just incase but I doubt I will have to go thought that again but you can never be sure. Dan Den Posted August 1, 2012 Author Report Share Posted August 1, 2012 (edited) Download: Windows Malicious Software Removal ToolThanks man came right on time,jut yesterday I decided to plug in fend of mines USB stick and then would you not know it i pcked with loads of little goodies and then could not access my documents, computer or any folder on my PC without it saying I do not have access. So I just shut it down and after it is switched on the computer is now piled up with large number of .exe, so now I will just run this little tool then afterwards will finally install my AVG Premium Security that has been siting y table since the start of the year.
