Need Help In Configuring Dual Channel Memory!

Right now you're in single channel and to make it dual channel you just have to whack in another stick. But that is assuming that your other hardware supports dual channel. It doesn't matter about speed or latency, because if one RAM stick is faster and the other one is slower, the fast stick with underclock itself to the speed of the slower RAM stick.

If you're not mixing DIMM types, the short answer is that it will probably work. You could even grab a DDR2 1066Mhz and it would just be downclocked to 800Mhz. If you must do it, change the latency of the faster module to that of the slower one.

Long answer: don't do it. Some motherboards are very senistive to mismatched RAM. Memory modules can break and motherboards can be fried. RAM is sold in kits for a reason and 4GB worth is dirt cheap.

Thanks for all your help. I think my Mother Board support Dual Channel. I will grab 800Mhz for sure and tried to get the same module as Koby said, but it seems the module is unavailable, so other option is KVR800D2N6/2G don't know whether it will be available or not but specification are different as you can see. The error correction doesn't matter but what bother me is 256M x 72-bit 2GB while the first one was 256M x 64-bit (2GB).

And thanks again.
