Xanodus
I just bought this game yesterday after playing a demo in store. It is one of the best PvP games I have ever played! I love how you can customize your characters, and choose their skills, as well as fight against your friends.Story mode proved to be very difficult for my brother, and he played with his character made from Maxi. I chose by Viola, and now I am thinking twice about it because she is very slow. She struggles to get off the floor, attacks slow, and her attacks aren't the best compared to my brother's.The easiest mode of course is the Players vs CPU mode. The CPU modes on games are almost always easy, and I have no trouble defeating them.Overall, I believe Soul Calibur V is a fun game, and improved of course from it's previous installments. Dominate24
Yeah, this is a really cool game. The only problem is their isn't very many single player modes or things to do offline. I tried Viola too but her combos are just too hard for me. I'm sticking with Natsu and trying to find someone else I like using.
Shadow2790x
As far as customization goes, Soul Calibur V is awesome. The online mode? I thought that is pretty cool as well. It was very well done. The only complaint I have (as a lot of others do), is that there isn't much Single Player content. But that aside, it's a fun game. Good to hear that you're enjoying it.I don't play anymore, but my main was Pyrrha.I wanted to use other characters, like Tira and Astaroth, but didn't quite get around to it. JT2708
In the last Soul Calibur game was great at first, after completing story mose multiple time, the only thing left was creating character (for me anyway), so I'm really hoping that Soul Calibur V will have a lot more replay value than the previous installment, I hope that someone may be able to say something in order to boost my moral about this game even further. (In my opinion)The developers wanted to put more story into the game, but were rushed by Namco. If you like to play online, the online mode is pretty cool.Haven't played in a while, so I'm not sure how big the community is.So the main question would be:Do you care more about single player, or online multiplayer? Testarossa
Online community is still big. Can find rooms instantly and my rooms fills up just as fast. This fighter will hold me over until VF Final Showdown and DOA5. Waiting on both of those.
sellersdq
Yeah sould calibur is aweeeesomee. I can't lose with Maxi. I'm looking forward to like 14 years from now when actual fighting games get more fluid though. I don't care what fighting style game you're playing to me they all seem too delayish idk.. fenriredge
I think it looks great, but I played SCIII and SCIV, and of the 3, I found SCIII better because it had more single player content (Story Mode, Chronicles of the Sword,...). And a nice tutorial. Very addictive.SC IV was a disapointment to me. Short Single Player (Stroy mode only had 5 battles with no context), and didn't like the introduction of Star War characters to the mix (I played the PS3 version with darth vader, but i think yoda must have been more overpowered than the rest because of his heigth). After finding out that SC V would have even less content, i quit on getting it.
