I read somewhere the X360 "Was" going to be 3 discs alike it's first-part but I think it was Koby that mentioned the game is more "action sequence" rather than Cinematics which allowed it to be devoid of all the excess data. Either way I'm not very impressed with the Demo at all because (and from what I know) that you only have two characters, the story is really... it's really shady in regards to Noel because it's not like part one where the group is sent off on an adventure, I'm actually looking forward to the other part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis concerning Noctis.

I got ff XIII-2 on friday. been playing it all weekend. i must say im loving it. some minor tweaks to the battling system, but it more or less the sames as FF XIII. i was against the whole moster idea, but its turning out to be quite fun. :D

Imho the monster taming is quite silly. That's like, a Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest exclusive (and like all good gamers who've paid attention to history and the origin of Square Enix, know that Squaresoft and Enix were too separate companies making competing RPGs at a time long ago (Squaresoft with Final Fantasies, and Enix with Dragon Quest).

I'm just not digging it. They need something like the first 9 games. Or hell, remake the first nine for current Gen Systems. They'll sell like hotcakes, though I'm not sure if its worth investing in.

Does anyone know if in FF XIII 2 you have to follow a set path like in FF XIII or can you choose where you go? Is there a world map? I didn't like the linear nature of FF XIII (I'm new here and this is my first post! :))

There is no linearity in this one. In fact, you can progress that story after you finish all the side quests. There are a minimum of 160 side quests in this game that can be started from the very beginning. Most people that were disappointed with the first game are actually enjoying this one much more. There also isn't a world map per se, but the Historia Crux sort-of acts like one. All you can do with it though is to select the destination and time period.

Awesome thanks Ragnawind! That's good to know. I've just had a go on the demo and I'm still not sure about the paradigm shift battle system. It seems to have taken the fun out of it...

The Paradigm Shift system is there for tactical reasons. It is supposed to make it more difficult, especially for people that haven't used a system like it before. You eventually get used to it, though.
