Koby Posted March 30, 2010 Report Share Posted March 30, 2010 We really need to get some more discussions going for this awesome series!So of the 3 games in the series, 4 if you count Koudelka, which is your favorite?My thoughts:-----------------Okay, the first Shadow Hearts was great, by far the top game in the series. The second lacked key aspects and just didn't seem right. The third in my opinion was overall better than the second, but should have been a different game, it didn't feel like it should be within the Shadow Hearts series. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed all three games and played every one of them multiple times to unlock everything and do all sidequests, etc.. it's just neither of the sequels ever came close to being as great as the first. As far as Koudelka... I haven't managed to purchase and play it yet, so can't get any opinions on it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Even though Covenant has the fancier graphics and voice acting, the first one holds a special place in my heart. I enjoyed the music more for that one, as well as the settings and cast of characters. I haven't seen any other RPG with a similar style of story or feeling. Everything else feels lighthearted compared to it. It's one of the many things I enjoy about the series and I'm very sad about the company responsible being disbanded as it means the third will most likely be the last of such a great series.By the way I own the site http://shadowhearts.infoThough haven't had time to finish up everything. Within a year of the 3rd games release the company responsible (Nautilus) was disbanded by Aruze Corp. So they never even had a chance to consider anything after the third. There was never any talks, never any license, and never any name mentioned.I personally contacted them a few months ago asking about if there was anyway the rights could be passed on or any hope at all at the series being saved and they told me unfortunately no. Gunrise Posted March 7, 2011 Report Share Posted March 7, 2011 I'd love to get ahold of these games. I wonder if they are/will ever be ported to PSP since I own no Sony consoles anymore.
