The official story with sega rite now is that there are no plans to bring it over seas. But during a gaming convention, i don't remember, one of the representatives for sega said to not lose faith. dunno if that helps or not.

btw VC1 was awesome

Kinda wish VC2 was on PS3. My brother doesn't really like playing on the Psp very much because he requires games to be played on very large screens.

It appears that VC3 isn't going to get localized in the west not on the PSP anyway due to PSP pirating and all that and the fact that VC2 was pirated more than brought apparently. But not all hope is lost there's a chance for it becoming available on the PSP VITA as a digital download, i also found a group on facebook that focus on encouraging SEGA to localize the game in a positive manner

thanks for the post played the Jp demo and it rocks its like vc1 with a sort of teenage cast the art work is something to look forward to

The artwork from Sega games have always been highly praised. They might not be 3-d moving models but they're highly detailed. I always loved games like this simply because of the artwork that went into it, and usually games with great artwork have amazing original sound tracks to boot.

from what i understand VC2 just sold poorly in the west ? something like 268.000 something units ?

I think the sole reason VC2 sold so poorly compared to VC1 is primarily because of the decision to make VC2 a PSP title. My brother bought VC1 and loves it to death, even watched the anime adaption - but refuses to buy VC2 because he's just not a fan of portable game devices (even though we do own a PSP). It's just preference. A lot of people most likely own a PS3, but only a handful of people on top of them own "BOTH" a PS3 and a PSP.

Yeah hopefully if there is another VC after 3 and happens to get released here it'll be on a PS3 rather than a portable device

I think the fact that they demoted the second game to the PSP after a successful release on the PS3, probably caused a major reducing in sales, which is why they are unsure about releasing the third game here in the U.S. I think they need to back up and release a PS3 version of the second game and then hopeful do a release of the third game on both systems.

I'm positive a PS3 release of VC2 will make the series skyrocket again. Like I said, only a handful of people own both a PS3 and some kind of PSP portable device. The game is great, I love RTS; my brother loves the game for its story, but I rarely game on the go, as well as my brother - so a full screen PS3 version of it is what we'd prefer.
