I checked it out and I think its pretty good. I noticed that it seemed to be more of a Parrnell universe thing rather then a sequel or a prequel. Considering there was a character from the first one in it.

Oohh well now. I made the previous part of this post after only watching the first episode and well. I have to say that I might be way off of the parallel thing. Watching the others it seems that there are many plot ques that suggest this takes place ten years after the first anime. Okay so lets see if I can put some of this together.

In episode 3 I believe Fam states that the grand race took place ten years prior, and that just after this war broke out. Was this war the short lived and vary successful rebellion that led to the fall of the guild. Yet something is bugging me. In the first Exile Dio turns sixteen (I think) and under goes the rite of passage. That means in this show he's twenty six. Yet he looks the almost the same. Hmmmm it seems like he's not the only one who has aged well. Another thing. If I recall right the winner of the grand race wasn't Clous or Lavi but the man Lavi called nose hair. Since the cup was found in Gisey's house could that be a clue and connection. The the man shown just at the right moment was an aged nose hair. Wink wink.

Okay its been a while since I have seen the first Series so please feel free to correct me at any mistakes I made.

I'm definitely going to watch this, the first one was epic.

I've heard this one takes place back on Earth 10yrs after the original. The main plot seems to be between two warring factions. One that stayed behind on Earth and another that returned to Earth on an exile ship. Can anyone confirm this?
