Krogothwolf
Greetings one and all, boys and girls and adults of all ages and a few children too.Kro, the most wonderful of people you all know and love, works in the mystical land known as IT. It's a wonderful little world, filled with coding, circuits, data cables and hard drives. With RAM sticks as the great and wondrous food source. It's a great place to be, it's also a land filled with entertaining things that happen, strange things, and head slapping things. Kro is here to tell you a tale, a tale of wonder and disbelief, oh it's a tale of absurdity as well. Last week, Kro, in his lovely job, gets an e-mail from someone claiming "Miss Doubtfire" is having a computer issue and needs help. Kro, expressing joy at having a problem to solve, hopskips his way to her office to see her issue. When he gets there he notices the monitors aren't on. Strange he thinks to himself, why are the monitors off. He asks Miss Doubtfire "What ever is the problem." She looks at Kro, all perplexed and goes "My computer won't power on." Kro, looks at the desk and scratches his bearded chin and thinks to himself. "Strange, the docking station is lacking her laptop." So Kro turns to her and mentions this to her. She looks at kro, still perplexed and goes, "My laptop is at home, why should that be a concern, my computer isn't working." She then points to the docking station. Now Kro, in his infinite wisdom, remains calm and doesn't laugh in her face. He merely goes, "Why, that's a docking station Miss Doubtfire, it just provides extra ports and a location to dock your laptop so you don't need to unplug the power from the wall all the time." Now, she looks a bit confused and seems to not understand Kro, so he explains again what a docking station is and she goes "I thought that was a computer to charge my laptop on." Now Kro, still calm, just smiles and tells her he will get her a loaner for her so she can do work before collapsing in a heap of laughter in the server room when he gets there, not understanding how someone could think that.Oh the joys of IT, Kro loves it. † TheChaosLegion
This is just another example of why I hate working with computers...One person can only hold back so many homicidal thoughts, and one day i'm just going to stop trying."And then it all went to my head! Next day, 49 mothafuckas dead."
