Why was the "What is 'Otaku'?" thread in Mako Reactor lock?

I am a bit confused as to why this topic was locked? It was on topic and in the right area of a serious discussion and debate which what that section is supposed to be right? In the last post I was more or less insulted by an administrator, then the thread gets locked when it's on its first page and everyone else is respectfully discussing and on topic of the thread.

Was it locked because I had a different idea that some of the other people? Because I am confused as to what the purpose of the "Mako Reactor" is for then. Because the description says" The Mako Reactor is a board where serious discussions take place and debating is encouraged. So come in, have a debate, or talk about something serious; such as religion." So doing that we get insulted and have the thread locked?

As for a suggestion to make the site run better, there should be a form of etiquette or rules when it comes to serious discussions in the serious discussion area so that people don't have to worry about being insulted and called idiots for having a different point of view. Or you guys should get rid of the Mako Reactor section or take away the part that says "serious discussions take place and debating is encouraged" because insulting and then locking the thread say otherwise.

Can someone edit the title of the thread I have a typo in it, thread should replace threat. ty

It was closed because the point of the topic was long since completed when the real definition was given and everyone agreed.

It's not that you don't agree. It's just you're like a brick wall that refuses to comprehend that you're completely wrong about the matter. There is no debate to be had because all the thread was about was the 'real' definition which is publicly known and has nothing to debate about it.

I closed the thread because you don't understand English and leaving it open would have only lead to further spam on your part. You continue to use the excuse that the definition of the term changed simply because you and everyone else that DOESN'T GET IT says so. You don't have the power/ability to change a definition of a word just because you don't like it's real meaning or failed to comprehend it's use.

The definition is common knowledge and you just don't get it.
