† Ferocia Coutura Posted October 10, 2011 Report Share Posted October 10, 2011 Okay, so Nanao NEVER has shown her sword EXCEPT for in an artwork. Al you really see is the handle, though. And it somewhat is shaped like a Wakizashi or Tanto sword, though you can't be sure because it's full length is never shown. So I'm curios as to what you guys think her zanpakuto does.My theory is that the giant book she always carries is her shikai. The reason behind this is that Tite Kubo made it to where you can't tell if she has her sword or not (It's hidden inside of her kimono). However, the one time she was going to pull it out (when she was going to fight Yamamoto in the second season), you'll notice that she does not have the book in her hands.I'm thinking that her shikai might allow her to somehow amplify her kido, simply because Tite Kubo mentioned that she is similar to Momo in her kido abilities. Nemu (squad 12 Lt) never carries a sword, and as for Yachiru (squad 12 Lt) she just drags it around with her. these two are as difficult to guess on as far as there zanpaktuo's powers and shape, as Nanao is. It doesn't matter what her shikai ,bankai or soul cutter is capable off. Cause she wouldn't be of any use,other than healing.
