So yeah it pretty much they trolled us with kai and the lazyness of the animation. If they can do this kind of animation in less than a year for a video game they could of done this with Kai. But man iam in love with the trailer, the music was awesome, but I'm pretty sure there will be some people like omg where is the buu and gt arc? We know those arcs will be in the game since they already added Baby Vegeta and they have pictures of super saiyan 3 Goku and Majin Vegeta all over the net. I can really care less about the CaC now, i'm just happy they finally have a good story mode in this game.

Yeah, I'm glad to see this too. To be frankly honest, of all the Budokai games out so far, the best one was in the original Dragon Ball Z Budokai where you got to see FMV's of the original anime in a proper sequence.

All the others since then failed for the following reasons -

  • DBZ Budokai 2 - No cut-scenes. Just a board game in which you move around the pieces. Frightfully dull and you can even miss the Super Saiyan Capsule.
  • DBZ Budokai 3 - Again, no cut-scenes. You just got word balloons and dialogue. The explore-the-world feature was kinda cool but it lose 'cuz of the fact that you had to pick the individual characters to completely finish the tale.
  • DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi - Perhaps the ultimate fail! It had low-quality cut-scenes during the beginning of the stage and absolutely no change in damage It wasn't until Tenkaichi 3 that they had the sense to put in the damaged clothes. Plus, the story mode was all random.
  • DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - More or less the same as Tenkaichi except you got to transform in-game.
  • DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 - This was a little better. They added the dialogues in the middle of battle and upon finishing a certian condition, you had to press R3 to get on with the story.
  • DBZ Shin Budokai (PSP) - Not as good as the original Budokai series but leagues better tham Tenkaichi 1 and 2. These games shouldn't go 3D and Shin Budokai's 2.5D system proved just that. Although, the story mode was meh.
  • DBZ Shin Budokai 2 - Slightly better than the original with more characters but the story mode was an original one, so again meh.
  • DBZ Infinite World - THIS was the closest to the original Budokai back with it's 2.5D battle system. But, the only thing that killed it was the mini-games (Catching Bubbles, Running towards Nappa and Vegeta, etc.)

  • Budokai: Agreed

  • Budokai 2: Agreed

  • Budokai 3: Disagreed! Just to let you know, there were a few hidden cut scenes in the game. (except they were so well hidden that I can't even remember if they were real or what) Anyway I kinda prefer it to be most fun compared to the other 2 even though I liked the first one better.

  • Budokai Tenkaichi: Agreed

  • Budokai Tenkaichi 2: Disagreed. The story mode was much better than the first tenkaichi especially when they brought back the world explore feature in this.

  • Budokai Tenkaichi 3: Tbh I really didn't like the story mode in this one. It reminded me alot about the first tenkaichi. The ingame dialogues were ok and they added more animation to the whole transformations/ultimate moves but overall the mode was still a bit weak.

  • Shin Budokai 1/2: Agreed.

  • Infinite World: LOL you say the mini games killed it? I do admit they made the story mode a little "weird" but hey they were still fun....xD

Btw you forgot about one game that despite not being included as a part of the budokai series, it still pwns some of those games mentioned above:

DBZ Sagas: Seriously, this game had shown how well DBZ could go as an RPG. I really enjoyed playing this game and the cut scenes from the actual anime made it even better. The only thing I'm disappointed in is that there were alot of limited things like less playable characters, only one finishing move per character, no buu saga and the transformation gauge. I find it weird how ppl like IGN claimed it to be a failure when in my eyes this game could've been something epic if it only had been given a chance. O.o

The reason they made this fighting system in this game is to stop spammers and cheaters.

Oh you have no idea..... >.>

I hated how you would lose your lock-on everytime you get hit with your opponent's ultimate move. My friend often used piccolo/majuub to attack from long range and then keep using it on me while hidden. I could barely do anything. It no longer becomes a fight!:oh:

So yeah, you can forget bout thinking this version has any less cheaters.... :beat_brick:
