Yu-Gi-Oh! - A New "Star"

This isn't an original deck by me. The recipe was taken from Yusei's 3rd Deck from the PSP game - Tag Force 5. I've made slight changes to it to make it acceptable for the new Sep 1, 2011 format. This Deck is extremely powerful although it relies on tactics which involve sending stuff to the Grave a lot and then Special Summoning them to get a total level of 6, 7 or 8 and Synchro Summon a lotta strong guys from the Extra Deck real quickly.

The strongest guy in this Deck is the new star - Shooting Star Dragon. To get him out, you first need to bring out Stardust Dragon, then bring out a Level 1 Tuner and Level 1 non-Tuner and Synchro Summon Formula Synchron. Then, you tune those two together, and voila - Shooting Star Dragon.

Now, this is much harder than it sounds. Of all the times I played this Deck, I only got it out maybe 3 or 4 times. That said, he's isn't really all that necessary to win most of the time. If you can perform quick synchros in the beginning itself, the pressure really builds on your opponent, specially since Stardust's effect prevents destruction.

lol, I built a deck based on this as well, but I modified the extra deck a bit. The main deck may be a little different, but the setup doesn't allow for much customizing. It's a great deck to get the hang of Synchro Summoning though as with a decent hand you can pretty much Synchro every turn.

Seriously, there are a lot of combos in this deck. I can give examples off my fingertips cuz I've used this deck that much -

EXAMPLE 1

  1. Discard Level Eater to SS Quickdraw Synchron.
  2. Use Level Eater's effect to SS him by reducing Quickdraw's level by 1.
  3. Synchro Summon Junk Warrior (Note : You did NOT Normal Summon yet)

EXAMPLE 2

If you have some cards in the grave already -

  1. Normal Summon Synchron Explorer.
  2. SS Quickdraw Synchron with Explorer's effect.
  3. Then, send Dandylion to the grave to SS another Quickdraw.
  4. When Dandylion is sent like this, you can SS 2 Level 1 Fluff tokens.
  5. Level 5 Quickdraw Synchron + Level 2 Synchron Explorer + Level 1 Token = Level 8 Stardust Dragon
  6. Then, you can choose to do another synchro with the other Quickdraw and the other Level 1 token or keep it for another turn and use something like Effect Veiler to Synchro out Formula Synchron and finally bring out the ultimate Shooting Star Dragon

THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!
