My idea

A funny idea came to me the other day.It came to me when I found out that there was an anime series for Supernatural.As I am sure many of you know many anime series are due to be released as live-action films.My idea would be how about go in the opposite direction.Remake live action films as like 5 or 6 episode anime series.For example,I think the best film to do this with would be Pulp Fiction.Since the film is already split in several vigenettes half the work is already done.Anyone else think that would be cool,seeing an anime version of The Godfather,of Fight Club,of Resevoir Dogs,of Memento etc.

So just let me know what you think about that idea and any other films that you think would be good as animes.

It could be cool. Especially dig a Fight Club anime for some reason. The thing is that to make an adaption worth it you need to A) mold the material to the genre and rebirth it in a way that you've made it more complete, rather than just rehashing the original (Think The Dark Knight, Nolan made it less comic and more film, and used film to make it meaningful in a very different way from the comics). That would be pretty tough for most movies in my opinion, to the point where I'd kind of rather just have new content (as most adaptions aren't as good as the originals purely because of the limitation imposed by the new medium combined with a fear of exploring new, medium specific, options). I could dig it, it'd just have to be something really special for me to love it.

Well if the Supernatural Anime is any indication... then going from live-action to anime ends up nearly as bad as going from anime to live-action. Seriously the Supernatural anime was rather crap. It felt cut and spliced together with not much actually happening and the dialogue felt cheesy and pushed.
