Kid Ryan
I'm pretty sure I know how this will turn out, but I figured I'd post it for the sake of discussion. So what is your preferred video type and resolution and why?I prefer 480ps myself (848x480 is the best), and as for the file types, it's a tie between MKV and MP4 for me.(MKV = Dual Audio and MP4 = Single Audio)However, I will settle for lower 480p video resolutions or 400p AVIs, etc (if there's no other option). † ballard
I personally prefer MP4 so that I can put the files on my psp and ipod. As for resolution, it doesn't matter much for me. I do like 720p, but most of my anime is 480p and under.
Dude888
MKV is the best file type, because it can hold "infinite" content (multiple audio tracks and subtitles)720p is the best for me, but I don't have problems with 480p because if I go higher than 720p the video gets buggy because of all the other programs running. And if I go lower than 480p the video quality gets bad.
Koby
MKV of course because I prefer soft-subtitles when needed and it also allows multiple audio tracks. If it's a single track file such as a movie then MP4 is fine since it'll play on more things such as my PS3. As for my favorite resolution it's 720p. dslite4000
I prefer anime in the best possible quality that I can get it. For some of the older shows, it's either 400p/480p resolution avi/mp4 file, or nothing at all. If its a newer show, I try to get it in 720p mkv for the file size, soft subs, and because I can't play 1080p on my PC.
vcxz
Have 25.5" monitor with HDMI and because of size, 1080p vs 720p has virtually no differenceGreat for watcing Naruto shippuden dubs coming out in 720p
biggman15
I prefer MKV at 480p but I tend to grab 720p of my favorite series. Gundam 00 looks amazing although I have to turn everything off on my little netbook so that the Audio doesn't get ahead of the Video...
DrumRoll
MKV 720p.I used to prefer avi, mp4, wmv or anything else I could play straight onto my xbox but now I like to have a high quality MKV as a fail-safe and convert from that.
