L Posted January 7, 2008 Report Share Posted January 7, 2008 Well, the logo is less than appealing. Try to keep in mind when you're making a logo to keep it nice, simple, crisp, and clean. Too much noise distracts a user from actually being able to see the forum's name.I'd say to start off with a black background, and have your forum's name in a white text and set a small luminosity level.as for the Lightning tag, it's a complete mess. The image is too hard, and it looks like you compiled a bunch of brushes in the same colour. Worst of all, the renders are placed right on top of the entire work, and the text is a completely different colour than the tag. It works with some tags, but I think it's simple and pleasing enough to pick a text, put it in white, and add a little bit of luminosity to the text.Work on blending, lighting, and layer effects.
