DEATHxxx50bmg Posted February 3, 2011 Report Share Posted February 3, 2011 i got a virus the other day and it freezes my computer within minutes. it works fine in safe mode but i need to know if possible and how i can wipe my computer. everythings backed up and its vista. dont care if anythings lost just need the computer to work. any instruction on it. Renzourin Posted February 3, 2011 Report Share Posted February 3, 2011 the only way you can wipe your computer is to place the windows installation disk into the cd drive and go from there if youve got a virus once the formatting is complete remember to SHUT THE COMPUTER OFF as that will clear out the ram and prevent the virus from jumping back onto your hard drive you dont even need safe mode to do it and it bypasses all virus's by running data straight from the CD/DVD Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
