Koby Posted June 19, 2020 Report Share Posted June 19, 2020 Horizon Forbidden West is targeting a 2021 release date on PlayStation 5, according to Guerrilla Games’ Mathijs de Jonge. Speaking as part of a new overview video, the game director revealed that the Dutch developer has “been working very hard in order to create a worthy sequel that will appeal to older fans and newcomers”. He added: “We’re aiming to release the game next year, in 2021.” Elsewhere in the video, de Jonge explains that the title’s map is a little bigger than Horizon Zero Dawn, but crucially it’s denser – allowing you to, for example, explore underwater. There are “dozens” of new machines and tribes to discover, as part of an open world that will span Utah through to the West coast.
