Cql6fzJ.jpgStreaming service Netflix announced new partnerships with animation studios Anima, Sublimation, and David Production, as well as new details on both new and existing projects with its current partners Production I.G, Wit Studio, and BONES, on Monday.

Sublimation (009 Re:Cyborg, Walking Meat) is producing a Dragon's Dogma anime series, based on CAPCOM's RPG video game series of the same name. Netflix describes the anime:

The story follows a man's journey seeking revenge on a dragon who stole his heart. On his way, the man is brought back to life as an ‘Arisen’. An action adventure about a man challenged by demons who represent the seven deadly sins of humans.

CAPCOM's original Dragon's Dogma game shipped for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in May 2012. The Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen expanded and enhanced version shipped for PS3 and Xbox 360 in April 2013. The PS4 and Xbox One release of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen launched in the West and Japan in October 2017, and was accompanied by the PC release in Japan. The game will get a Switch version on April 23. Dragon's Dogma Online launched on the PS3, PS4, and PC in August 2015.

Wit Studio (Attack on Titan, The Ancient Magus' Bride) is producing a new original anime series titled Vampire in the Garden. Netflix describes the anime:

An original series by WIT STUDIO on two girls Momo and Fine from different backgrounds who meet by chance. A story about an unlikely friendship between human and vampire race that intertwines with the power or music.

BONES (My Hero Academia, Bungo Stray Dogs) is producing Super Crooks, a new project based on the comic by Mark Millar and Leinil Francis Yu. Marvel Comics imprint Icon Comics describes the comic:

One last heist. That's what they all say, right? Just one final score, and everyone can retire and take up fishing. Thing is, the jails are filled with super villains who thought the same thing, and got busted. But the Heat's in a jam. He's run up the kind of gambling debt that - if he can't pay it back in cash - will be paid in blood. Nobody wants to see the most beloved supercrook of all time rubbed out by the mob - especially his biggest fan, Johnny Bolt. And Johnny's got a plan to help the Heat and make all his buddies disgustingly rich at the same time. Unfortunately for Johnny's recruits, they have to head to Spain and rob the world's most notorious super villain blind. And that's where things get tricky.

David Production's project is the recently announced anime series adaptation of Hiroshi Takashige and Ryōji Minagawa's Spriggan (Striker) manga.

Netflix also reiterated the 2020 premiere of the Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 anime by Production I.G Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki are directing the 3DCG anime.

Anima (Cat Shit One: The Animated Series, Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV) will create the Altered Carbon: Resleeved "anime feature" spinoff, which Netflix announced last November. The work will "explore new elements of the story mythology." Dai Sato (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Eureka Seven, Cowboy Bebop, Ergo Proxy) and Tsukasa Kondo are credited as writers for the project.

Netflix announced its comprehensive business alliance with Production I.G (along with sister studio Wit Studio) and BONES in January 2018.
