In Japanese/un4kidsified Yes, Yu-Gi-Oh especially 5d's is a very enjoyable show, that I find as interesting if not more so than some of the more popular shows out there.

The subbed version for the original series is better in terms of the script as well as no story changes i.e in the dubbed version: Noah being backed up to a floppy instead of dying and guards pointing their fingers at setto instead of their guns, the only thing is that the voices are rather annoying subtitled.

5d's on the other hand is epic subtitled and while the english voices are good for the most part, there are a lot of total plot changes/cuts that aren't really necessary and serve mainly to piss people off what I really hated the most was how 4kids edited Akiza's face to look less psychotic, so I recommend watching 5ds subtitled if you're going to watch it as the voices are good, the plot isn't botched up all over the place and the subs are way ahead of the 4kids dub.

Ummm, I guess I will try out the subbed version then........ or dubbed.... Argh! The subs, definitely, maybe I won't find the voices that annoying, I mean, it can't be more annoying than the voices i'd been listening. Thanks a lot Idl! ^.^

Yu-Gi-Oh! was cool plus GX was good but it wasnt finished being dubbed so that sucked but what i dont get is how funanimation dont buy the rights and do it as it should be and not censore it. i wish that when american anime companys get the rights to dub shows they should not change anything but just dub it and also not remove things. is 5D's any good as ive been thinking of buying the dvds but dont know if it is worth it?

The only one I actually liked was the original and only the Battle City Tournament Saga. As much as I like anime, all the friendship and power of teamwork stuff just annoyed me like crazy. Then the series went downhill for me. The whole, I think it was Atlantis thing, and the Orichalcos and those three dragons seemed stupid to me. And going back to Ancient Egypt. Wasn't that big a fan of that. The final duel between Yugi and Yami made it all worth watching, but I wouldn't rewatch any of them.

And I did watch a few of GX and 5-Ds, but just couldn't get into them.
