They use an automated script to rip Crunchyroll, FUNimation, Daisuki, and the like and add the torrents. As for making them, it depends on whether you're wanting to start from nothing and do the translating, timing, editing, etc... or if you just want to OCR subs from BD/DVD and edit them.
