'World Trigger' anime to wrap up in March

Daisuke Ashihara's 'World Trigger' which started running in Shonen Jump in February 2013 and inspired an anime adaptation from Toei in October 2014 has been confirmed that the anime series will be ending this March.

 

It's likely due to the fact the anime series has caught up to the source material, in this case manga, and they've opted to put the anime on hold to allow time for more manga chapters to be produced rather than continue on the route of endless fillers.

 

TV Asashi announced plans to replace the anime block running World Trigger with sports programming starting in April.
