'Magi: Sinbad no Bouken' Gets TV Anime Adaptation for Spring 2016

A TV anime adaptation of manga Magi: Sinbad no Bouken (Magi: Adventure of Sinbad) has officially been announced via its official website. The announcement was made after today's special airing of Magi. According to the announcement, the staff and cast from the OVA will be reprising their original roles for the TV series. It will broadcast in Spring 2016 and premiere on MBS' "Animeism" block.

 

The series, which is a prequel to Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, is written by Shinobu Ohtaka and illustrated by Yoshifumi Ohtera. Produced by Lay-duce, it was between 2014 and 2015 adapted into a 5-episode OVA, with each episode being bundled with various volumes of the manga.
