Mount - Read-Only Rights?

Is it possible to mount a Folder or Drive and give it only Read-Only Rights, without changing the Real Harddrive?

I'm using Windows.

I'm using my ISO with a XBMC / KODI, but when you have to make to use Ember Media Manager for creation the Television Series is to long and most of the time you need to make it you're self.

The meaning is for the MKV / MP4 files can watch onto the PC, without Deleting the video from it.

 

Example (Idea's):

- Make a ShortCut folder Read-Only.

- Mount Folder Read-Only.

- Mount Drive Read-Only.

Or is there maybe some software to watch it as a Folder?

I want to have the same pictures what I use with ICaros and MetaX without for making a External Picture.

I know you can make a Shared Folder but I don't know how to disable the folder from the Internet, so if somebody knows that is also OK.

I don't understand why u want to make a file read only but it should be as simple as:

Right click on folder

Select properties

Select general tab

At the bottom called attributes:select read only.

Well it's actually better to use the Security tab, making it read only in the attributes, only means certain programs can't edit it but that doesn't prevent the system or you from modifying it or deleting it. If you use the security tab you could actually prevent any user or even the system itself from modifying it, i.e. nothing can be touched in the drive.
