APPLE Legalizes P2P!

well sort of. they got a patent for it. if this goes through i will become an apple fan! Sure it is a little more restrictive than drm. But this is moving forward in terms of thinking of ways to share files. Hopefully they come out with a less restrictive method and hopefully other content distributors try to make ways for this.

AFAIK didn't Bittorrent already have a legal way of sharing copyrighted media with P2P anyways? Who the heck would even want to use Apple's DRM version of it. Besides P2P protocol is 100% legal to begin with already.

really. i didnt know that bittorent did that. can you point me towards the source.

How is this a step forward? It has DRM, which is several steps backwards in any sane person's book.

yes. like i said sure its still drm. but when a big company like apple steps in that direction of trying to find a away for people to share their content w/o being punished i think its good.
