professa X
So The titles a little dramatic... But the issue at hand is pretty serious. Here we have a thriving community that all love a couple of things. Anime and Sharing. So my view on so called "DMCA" material is once its in bits and bytes then no restrictions can be made what so ever by any level of government or society. I mean that's like taking the root "computing" from "computer" it's just not sane. So why should it be a big deal if one encoder uses stuff from another encoder. I understand their is a a lot of effort put in encoding these anime, I've done it for myself, but if we are truly a community of sharing and technology should we punish each other? Just wanna know what the community feels and believes. Currently we have this very same issue floating around. So please give me your 2CENTS. I promise I'll PAY attention and give you a PENNY for your thoughts. TEEHEE.
lemmingllama
Well, the difference is that we are illegally downloading things, but everyone knows who originally made it and they are shown in the opening, ending, and throughout the anime as the owners of the anime. Whereas this is where one is taking anothers stuff and claiming that it is his own. So there is a difference.
Guest
community's that download a lot of content they enjoy end up buying what they download because downloading is not enough we want physical copys of them Its more like try before you buy. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/new-study-says-online-piracy-isn%E2%80%99t-hurting-entertainment-industry-220006729.html
professa X
So all you had to do was give credit like in an essay were you site your sources? SO what's the big fuss? I don't see why someone won't put that in their encodes. I mean by not putting it on their does that cause the other person to lose their popularity?
