JohnFlower
This is for Google Chrome? May I suggest not using it, and using Chromium (the root of the Google Chrome project)? This way you don't have to agree to Google's spying terms, and you get a nice little mini-installer that you can download anywhere you want~
Dae314
Did you ever try poking around %localappdata%\Google\Chrome? Since the link to the chromium builds is really hard to find, here it is: http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-continuous/index.html?path=Win/
evil_burrito
Temp folders and files are hidden by default. There isn't a 100% accurate answer to your question, because it can change depending on the program. You can try looking C:\Users\"user"\AppData\Local. Install the installer? Do you mean extract the installer? If it a self extracting file (adobe CC trials are), you can try using your own compression program like winrar or 7-zip to extract wherever you decide. I have no idea what happens after that though... It probably downloads and extracts an archive.
Xanders
@JohnFlower Yea i'm aware of the spying terms I'm just having trouble finding a good Chromium build thanks for the site@Dae314 Tried found nothing in %localappdata% and %appdata% Not only that but chrome whipped my entire internet history along with my important bookmarks during an update yesterday Edited August 25, 2013 by Xanders
† L4ugh
There is also the option of using Comodo Dragon or SRWare Iron, both of which are based on chromium. If you go with Dragon, install the full version, because the portable version has a bug in the update process that can be really annoying.
