Kora
So apparently every time I want to login it only lets me login when I use my old username. I was just wondering is there was a reason behind this. I'm perfectly fine if there's no reason I was just wondering is all.
† Emotional Outlet
I'm unfamiliar with the username change procedure, but it's possible that when you changed your username, it only changed your display name and kept your login credentials the same. I'm pretty sure I can change that for you through the ACP if you want, though.
Koby
IP.Board uses two separate tables for accounts. One is a login name, and one is a display name. The login name cannot be changed by the member. Only the display name can be changed. I believe this is somewhat of an extra security measure as regular users won't know your actual login name if you keep it different from your display name. Thus making it harder for people to crack into your account.
Kora
Oh okay thank you that makes perfect sense. That's actually a really good way of protecting someone's account, more forums should have this haha
