Minkseru
Trying to capture video on my computer... grabbed videodub and trying to figure it out. Better suggestions or help with this program would be great.
DeathTheKid
Are you trying to capture a game or just your desktop? If it's your desktop try out camtasia. If it's a game, then fraps it is. At least for me. Most people don't like fraps because it can cause an fps drop.I'm sure you can find some links for either of these programs for free, but if you need them just pm me. I already have them uploaded to mediafire. (friends needed them)
JohnFlower
i use fraps. don't know about the pirated versions, but the paid version does both ingame and desktop recordings. If it's a game, then fraps it is. At least for me. Most people don't like fraps because it can cause an fps drop.fps drop? you set it to record at a certain fps. if you don't like to record @ 30fps, change it to something higher. Also I don't get fps drops. Like I said others do.Edit: I think camtasia just makes smaller sized files compared to fraps when recording the desktop. Not to sure though. Minkseru
ok now to convert a video file so that I can modify it in Gimp...
†L4ugh
I'm sure this is an utterly stupid question, but what exactly is Goomba Land (or Pumpkin Goombas) referring to. I'm guessing from the other post it has to do with linux, but is it your own saying or a more general one I have missed. I don't use or even like ubuntu, so I'm only asking for my own curiosity. Also, if your looking for Fraps you can find it in the Premium section since you have access. According to the posts it's suppose to be the current version, but I didn't test the link.
Minkseru
Goomba land and Pumpkin Goombas are both from Mario the game. I generally see goombas as being generic, and thus my constant reference to them when speaking of GOS'sAt the moment trying to find the language pack supports for Windows XP

Dark_Angel13
ok now to convert a video file so that I can modify it in Gimp... If you're recording a game in fraps it may be easier to compress the file before trying to convert it and if you use something like WLMM which comes with windows. The compression will bring the file size down to mb rather then gb because fraps does make BIG video files and you can likely save the new file in the format you want. Either way it may make it easier to convert the file once it's smaller. I use fraps for my games and it's what I do when I have to post them and store them etc.
