Jªvª
Meaning something isn't passing a CRC check, its usually the HD.Basically want to get a recovery disk with cmd on it and run chkdsk /f on that drive and pray it fixes it. KiraIsGod
do you think taking it to best buy, that the geek squad might be able to fix it.
Jªvª
do you think taking it to best buy, that the geek squad might be able to fix it.They can take a look at it an identify the problem and possibly fix the problem depending how bad it is. So be prep to pay them as well possibly a new HD in worst case scenario.

Marc05
Before sending it off to Best Buy (which you probably already have, so this is mostly for future reference), try running a chkdsk scan like Jªvª suggested. You don't have to boot from a bootdisk. Just go to Start>Computer> then right-click on your drive and go to Properties>Tools>Error-checking and check both checkboxes. It should say that the drive is in use and it will schedule the scan on the next boot. This can take a very long time depending on the drive, so I suggest doing this overnight.
