J-Lord
Update: 13/01/13 The developers of the Half Life 1 Modification known as DBZ ESF have released a new years teaser trailer that just looks epic!! Even better than any paid developer game. All the following footage it in game gameplay turned trailer. Enjoy! Details on the Mod: I have always been a fan of a great Dragon Ball Z game and in my quest to find the ultimate DBZ game I stumbled across DBZ: ESF a Mod for Half Life 1 on Steam. This game has a stable release of 1.2.3 and a Beta for the 1.3 stage of the game. ESF 1.2.3 is an enjoyable game to play, well it is to me but things get better the 1.3 version of the game is shapping up to look beautifully awesome! But before I go into that allow me to describe the 1.2.3 version as this is where the MOD stands now:Trailer ESF Gameplay: This game may not look as great as most modern day games but the potential for it to be a great mod is there! the reason I love this game is because of its free roam ability and not being constantly locked onto your opponent. I play this game over Lan with my 3 brothers constantly. The things that are not to hot in the game though is the Melee, servers sometimes lock up when to much happens and the odd bug/glitch. Melee is broken down into Advanced Melee, Basic Melee and throwing. You then have all of your Ki attacks and the ability to transform when you get your powerlevel high enough.(I will go into greater detail later about all this which I will add in this space here)The game also features add-ons suchs as more characters, transformations etc, there are also some AF packs floating around that can be simply installed.ESF 1.3 - FINAL:The Mod has been in the making for roughly 10 years now and still has no release date on it's 1.3 release which will be the Final release for the game. This version of the game has improved the games graphics, gameplay and basically everything else that is DBZ:ESFI will continue to update this Thread as well as post updates and pics on the games progress all in this FIrst post. Also let me know if you have played this MOD, do you like it or hate it? Or if you have yet to try and and wish to know how to get it I can put tutorials up as well. † ballard
This looks really good. I played a quake mod similar to this a few years back. This one seems like it's way better though.*Goes to reinstall Half Life 1.*

J-Lord
Currently installed a 3rd party mod for the game that includes a DBZ AF Pack. It is buggey and needed a lot of work to get it running but I think it has the potential to be a good mod. To bad it is limiting in what you can do, though it has characters like SS4 Gohan, SS5 Goku and Xicor.

J-Lord
It looks pretty awesome I only have Half Life 2 Deathmatch... I will buy number one, when its on offer To me this game sums up what a DBZ game should play like, no lock on system just full out free aimed brawl!! You aim depends on you not your lock on system, so you can put more tactics into your fight such as predicting you opponents movements with a ki blast. It is indeed one awesome game, I can't wait until they release ESF:Final but who knows when that will be.
