well there goes my education

so um yeah, the goverment here in aus decided to give a big F**** you to my education. basically what they've done is taken money from the part of tafe that i'm in, and given it to the construction sector. which means my courses go up from $180 for the year to $500-$800, if they're to run at all. i can't say i'm all too happy about it....

Wow, that really sucks... Is there a specific political reason why they are screwing over some students?

And if this does happen, it might be good to just take a year to work full time and save, then use that money to pay for education. Might not be that great, but at least it will get you through your program.

from what i've read it's the focus on more "important" courses. and if i could GET a job, that would just be fantastic... i can't wait for the election in 2 years, hopefully we vote this twat out of power and get the money back where it belongs

Please don't take that seriously, but anyways on topic, does it have anything to do with the new budget? Seems like students from primary, highschool and university aren't effected.
