Actually the manga is a lot farther along then where the anime stopped but I guess they didn't want to make it a series so.... I think from an enjoyment stand point these movies are very good (ignoring the cliff hanger ending); but if your comparing them to the manga the movies cut out some very important stuff starting in movie 4 and going all the way through movie 6. So all in all, I like movies 1-3 and am disappointed with the last 3 greatly for story reasons. If you watch just the anime though without knowing the manga I would say only the second half of movie 6 because it seemed rushed and of course the open ending. freedomstudent Posted March 28, 2012 Report Share Posted March 28, 2012 well.. i did finish it.. the story line was just average i think but i really like the opening song for it.... but the ending was not really satisfying.. i think that they could expand the story better than that though.. maybe more chapters would solve it... they should really have continue with the series.... I was hoping on some kind of hidden super power in the final battle.. what did he get a oversized ninja star... ( by super power i meand a bit like kira and .. forgot his name in gundam seed and seed destiny. I mean he defeated the commander dude who came out of idk what you would call it, awaiting court marshall? I saw it as a visual of one battle from the manga/light novel. I agree it did slack off and seemed rushed in the last few episodes which is why i wonder why it wasn't a 26 episode anime.
