@skate.101: It depends on what you plan to do with the data. If you're using it as a backup, I would go for the 2TB and just keep it on top of your tower. If you're planning on using it as something you need to move around for school or friends or something, you'll be saving yourself a lot of time and effort by having one without a massive brick. And, it's just one more thing to forget.

But, then again, if you're just using it for backup, you may as well buy an internal hard drive. Best is to buy three and go RAID 5.
