Ace Posted February 19, 2012 Report Share Posted February 19, 2012 So Area no Kishi (Knight in the Area) is about this kid called Aizawa Kakeru who really loves soccer but for some reason is being the manager of his team. He really looks up to his brother - Suguru who's a King/Conductor at the game and naturally talented and coincidentally voiced by the guy who voices Uchiha Sasuke >.<Anyways, his brother's a good King and all but he quickly realizes that he needs a "Knight" with great intuition in the penalty area. The only one he believes to be good enough is his own brother who doesn't wanna play anymore but stay in the shadow of his bro.The series has great promise. I've seen 7 episodes so far and I don't wanna give any spoilers but I can guarantee one thing - It's nothing like Captain Tsubasa and it's nothing like Hungry Heart. Hell, if I had to say, i'd probably say it's better than both of them ... and i FRIGGING LOVED THOSE SERIES!Seriously, if you're looking for a good sports show or even a just a good show for that matter, this series might be the breakthrough of this season. I think I might give it a try, but I won't get my hopes up, as I'm not sure what to expect...:/Yeah I was the same way I would say don't drop it until you watch at least 4 episodes. The first 2 episodes are pretty slow but after that you'll be sucked in. I heard the name and thought sounds pretty neat then read what it was about and said I'll watch it but I'll keep a finger on the dropped status on Anime Planet. Haven't dropped it yet thankfully.
