I believe lemming was referring to the physics that goes on at the electron level in the gates and such which would fall under "electricity and magnetism". Up until you get down to that point, you can pretty much ignore the physics and just say "the ALU does function x when given input 10010" or "the AND gate performs binary AND over the 2 input values". There's other macro physics stuff going on too like heat transfer between components and the heatsinks/fans and the air, electromagnetic interference, and other such things.

Ok so when you said that I immediately thought of a GIANT computer that basically ran on a massive repeating Rube Goldberg reaction that could change based on input (which would be placing things in certain spots) LOL. I bet you could actually design something like this; although it'd be an incredibly slow computer it'd also be really neat and interesting xD.

I wouldn't my computer would be completely broken from either being too clean or too messy. Then I would have to look into Feng Shui to find the optimum look, which is all opinionated, so I would never be happy with the result. It's making me go crazy just thinking about it!!!
