Kasoivc
I like fishing, but most of the ponds around here are all rubbish. My brother has heard of some place called Catfish Paradise up in Northern Ohio but mostly around Cincinnati here, there's like nothing to be caught. That or I just plain suck at fishing. I mean I like it, it's a peaceful activity, but god - I'd like to catch something for once, even if it is a small baby blue gill or something. Bizzarre huh?
Kasoivc
I've been trying for catfish lol, they're easy and fun to catch and I always go during early mornings or late evenings when they come up near the banks but the ponds around here are just blegh. I really do need to go out of state to go fishing; I went to a park in Kentucky during mid-day but I probably didn't catch anything because all the fish were asleep since it was noon-ish. I like the challenge of reeling them in; it's just I haven't gotten a chance to yet.
wyattearp23
Out ice fishing in the back country a while ago with some buds. Catching the odd small one there and again, you know through backs. Getting to the end of the day and about to pack it in when my buddy hooked one. When he finally pulled it up, it was the biggest trout of the day. After we took it off the hook, for some unknown reason he passed it to his girlfriend. Well she through it back....... ya. When we asked her way she through it back she said because we through all the other ones back. As that was happening my other buds line started and when he pulled it up, another trout about the same size was on the hook. Lucked out on that one. Digatu
33 carp the summer before last. All under 1lb though and caught on maggot. All caught after 11 am when it just started to get hot. My best day fishing ever. I was there from 9 am to 3pm but my main action was between 11:30am and 2:20pm. I am still to this day, gobsmacked at how many I hooked that day @ KasoivcTry to pre-bait that horrible pond of yours for about a week at the same time everyday in the same spot then try fishing it just before the time of day you've been pre-baiting. It might just help with that pond.
jonty140994
Where I live, we have a river which has only 3 different types of fish which is Catfish, Cod and Carp. The Cod and Catfish get pretty big and taste good but the carp and small and boney. It seems to be the most fish you catch is the Carp.. .__. VolvoKing
A few years ago I went to buddy's trailer. We went out on the lake caught some bass, blue gill and some northern pike. One of casts I made caught a nice pike. It put up a strong fight. I finally got it to the boat and reached down to gill it. I went to grab it and it thrashed, its teeth cut my wrist open. I got it in the boat and it paid the price. It was my supper. It ended weighing 12 Lbs. I love going after a fish that has intentions of killing you. I've always called them fresh water barracuda. I had a great time that weekend.
