Love all of the console ones. not played the hand held.But I watched this trailer (see link below) and i got to say it really does look like an awesome game. not gonna be a MGS but looks like a sweet action game.So this got me wondering. MGS is my favourite, even though rising is very different, its not an mgs but mgr, a spin off. I am disappointed that the story of rising is set after the events of mgs4. Mgs4's ending was perfect, its supposed to be the ultimate climax. Although it has been stated by Kojima that he will be making an Mgs5 with him saying "I have had many good ideas for The Boss to be playing as the main character for Mgs5" Or something like that. Expect it to be out in 3-5 years on the Playstation 4 hahahaha. Anywho, yes I am going to play MGR somehow. I am sure I will enjoy it but not on the extent of the others. P.s. Kasoivc Posted February 5, 2012 Report Share Posted February 5, 2012 Yeah Drumroll, I own the HD Collection - for any price under $40 it's a steal, HD Collection is 2,3 & Peacewalker. Would've been amazing if 1 was in there (recently found another copy of 1 in a DVD Case with the Foxhound Emblem on the back of the case, quite odd considering it's a PS1 game in a DVD/PS2 Case, definitely one of my games that'll never be opened considering I found it for $1 at a nearby super computer store.)As per Rising, I might wait on a price drop (I actually haven't gotten MGS4 yet, it's been out for a few years now...) I've bought way too many games this past christmas season and I'm trying to set aside money haha, it's just not one of my top priority games this year compared to such like RE:ORC and 6 at the end of the year. Pinkie Pie Posted February 10, 2012 Report Share Posted February 10, 2012 I still say that this is a clusterfuck that's going to instantly alienate a lot of people, but I saw the trailer and after I wiped the tears of laughter from my eyes, I decided that I'm going to give this trainwreck a try when I rent that shit. Honestly, the ~bad guy~ literally looks like Vamp, so all that does is please the fangirls of MGS2 that ship Raiden/Vamp like it's their SasuNaru. I've come to the conclusion that this isn't a real effort and instead is just a trolling and a joke on a grand scale either that or fanservice in a video game for connoisseurs of shitty action games that you can beat in less than a day and those really annoying fangirls alike. It's obvious that I really enjoy the MGS series as a whole, and it's nothing but horrible to see my one of my favorite characters of the series get this terrible treatment. shadowtheman Posted February 11, 2012 Report Share Posted February 11, 2012 I own and played the entire collection. Even the first one that came out on that old pc console. I have to say that until this post I never new there was a new one out. Especially since I thought it was done at Metal gear 4. Checking things out it seems like this one isn't a real metal gear. Or in the sense of what metal gear is. It shows no tactics like previous titles. No sneaking, no tactful fighting, just a hack and slash. A god of war clone. Although I do like there doing something with Rydan again. Its just in 4 he was presented as a super ninja type who could sword fight with his feet. This seems to be all slash and no ninja.
