majorzeros
Whats your option for the new metal gear game. For if you see the new trailer its manly about Raiden with a lot of sword play. Also by saying that Solid Snake is dead in the last Metal Gear Solid. So tell me in your option is the game part of the series or not.

RikuoAmero
Well...chronologically its supposed to take place in between Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4. And storyline wise, they made it pretty much clear that Solid Snake does die after 4, what with the FoxDIE threatening to mutate into an airborne mass killer virus and him having pre-programmed premature aging. As for whether style wise it fits in with the rest of the series, you may have a point there, what with it playing like Devil May Cry now... Plus, after having just watched the trailer just now, there's obvious continuity questions: such as why these cyborgs don't appear in MGS4 and is that Vamp he's fighting on the train in the tunnel? If so, then why isn't Vamp the same kind of cyborg in MGS4 he is then?
kashem2
its right storywise Vamp is Vamp he was explained in mgs2. but basically he cant die. so he doesnt need to be a cyborg. and this game is supposed to explain how raiden got from mgs2 to were he is now. it explains/ shows he cyborging. at least thats how it was explained on G4 and the reason the cyborgs dont apper in mgs4 (other then raiden) is cuz hes the only one. a prototype if you willso it is mgs in story not so much in game play. Kasoivc
Gameplay wise, yeah. Rising/Revengeance isn't anything like the traditional MGS series with it going at a more "actiony" perspective, however it still kind of implies that killing your enemies isn't necessary, which I believe means you still technically sneak around and stuff without "having" to attract attention to progress the story unless it's like an obvious "boss" scenario. Story wise, it's supposed to be a sequel/prequel kinda thing so I guess it'll work out.
majorzeros
I know it!!!!!!! Also you can clearly see it is Vamp in the train tunnel and hes a cyborg. therefore if they didn't it would have no logic to the story. And to reason they resurrected him for the big shock and ah in the game. For in mgs3 you can see they want to make it look like they are rivals. In the new up coming game mgs5. Pinkie Pie
In a word: No.I still say that this is a clusterfuck that's going to instantly alienate a lot of people, but I saw the trailer and after I wiped the tears of laughter from my eyes, I decided that I'm going to give this trainwreck a try when I rent that shit. Honestly, the ~bad guy~ literally looks like Vamp, so all that does is please the fangirls of MGS2 that ship Raiden/Vamp like it's their SasuNaru. I've come to the conclusion that this isn't a real effort and instead is just a trolling and a joke on a grand scale either that or fanservice in a video game for connoisseurs of shitty action games that you can beat in less than a day and those really annoying fangirls alike. majorzeros
It's easy to see it's Vamp in the trailer. just like in mgs3 the fight scene Raiden vs Vamp. An that's what they want in mgs5 a rivalry with Raiden vs Vamp to see who will win in the game.
BLXCK STAR
Its not part of the MGS series but still a definite buy cause its being done by Platinum.
